What this Feature Does

Voice Recording is the core of the Chrome Extension's Creating Mode: click to record your voice, click to stop, and share the result by link, QR code or embed code. Every recording is transcribed automatically, and the transcript can be translated into more than 60 languages with Dictate & Translate.

Why it Matters

  • Writing is not the only way for a student to show what they know
  • Low friction: two clicks and a link, no file to send and no app to install at the other end
  • Recordings carry tone and nuance that typed text cannot
  • Automatic transcription means a recording is readable as well as playable
