Select Area to Read is another Read Aloud tool. However, it's different from Play Page because it allows you to choose what text you want to hear.
Try it for yourself:
1️⃣ Step 1: Click on the Mote extension
Click on the Mote icon to bring up the sidebar
2️⃣ Step 2: Navigate to Reading Mode
Click on the top icon of the sidebar and navigate to Reading Mode. You'll know you're in Reading Mode when the book icon is showing.
3️⃣ Step 3: Click "Select Area to Read"
In Reading Mode, click the Select Area to Read button. A prompt will appear, instructing you to click and drag over the text you want to hear.
4️⃣ Step 4: Click and drag
Click on the screen and drag over the selected portion of text you want to hear. Click again, and Read Aloud will begin.
Just like for Play Page, you can slow down the reading speed (or speed it up!) you can click on "x1.0" and select your speed. There are also LOTS of voices to choose from so try finding the one you like best!
